J. Christopher Farmer, MD, MCCM, FACP, FCCP

For more than 25 years as a C-suite physician executive, Doctor Chris Farmer has made bedrock contributions to healthcare organizations and agencies in the US and abroad. Additionally, he has more than 20 years of leadership service excellence on behalf of tier one non-profit and for-profit Boards of Directors.

Dr. Farmer received multiple awards from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, including a Lifetime Achievement Education Award from the Critical Care Fellowship training programs. He is Distinguished Alumnus, McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas. He twice received the Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Most recently, the Society of Critical Care Medicine recognized him as Recipient, Lifetime Achievement Award for meritorious contributions in the field of critical care medicine. He has been additionally recognized as Recipient, Lifetime Achievement Award, International Pan-Arab Critical Care Medicine Society.

As a nationally and internationally recognized innovator and leader in medicine, Dr. Farmer received the Air Force Association (AFA) Paul W. Myers Outstanding Physician Award, US Air Force, and the Zachary Fisher Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Award, Department of Defense.

He is a developer of several “game changer” global programs, including his foundational work with the Critical Care Aeromedical Transport Team (CCATT) program for the US military.

Jim Geiling

Doctor Jim Geiling serves as a senior management consultant for U.S.-based and international healthcare enterprises, medical universities, hospitals, and other government and non-government health agencies. He is an internationally acknowledged and respected critical care leader and dedicated educator with a long record of stellar healthcare leadership and “in-the-trenches” experience. He is renowned globally for his experience, knowledge, and skills as a disaster medical expert and leader.

Doctor Geiling has practiced critical care medicine in small hospitals, academic medical centers, and resource-limited and disaster settings, both in and outside the military as well as a variety government and academic organizations. Most recently, his leadership and clinical expertise have been vitally important during the COVID-19 pandemic impact in the northeastern United States. He also cares for patients and advances healthcare infrastructure in East Africa. Doctor Geiling is fluent in English, speaks German casually, and is studying Swahili.

A 25-year career US Army physician, Dr. Geiling, served nine years in Germany and deployed to Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and elsewhere.  His military leadership service included: • Colonel (retired), US Army • Medical Director, Landstuhl Germany Regional Medical Center where he oversaw US military critical care support to Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia • Disaster Preparedness and Medical Response Fellowship, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Emergency Preparedness • Commander, Pentagon Health Clinic, a leadership position where he was called upon to practice his training in disaster response on September 11, 2001 and later that year during the anthrax attack.

Doctor Geiling has written and spoken extensively in the fields of critical care and disaster medicine, with recent work focusing on the provision of mass critical care in resource poor settings. He enjoys spending time outdoors, to include volunteering with Dartmouth College’s Ski Patrol where he earned its prestigious Patroller’s Cross.
